And with all the PDA and mushy Instagram posts, it was no surprise when rumours began to swirl that the pair were engaged

But the rumours didn’t come from out of nowhere, with an Instagram account for Rottnest Island Tourismwhere the couple recently stayedcommenting on one of their posts with the comment: “Congratulations on your engagement!”

Naturally sending fans into a frenzy.

Irena, 31, has also fuelled rumours by wearing the ring Locky presented her during The Bachelor finale on her ring finger while quarantining together.

But the nurse has now broken her silence over the rumours, setting the record straight about their relationship status.

During an Instagram Q&A she revealed the pair were decidedly not engaged… for now.

When a fan asked about another giant ring she was wearing in a photo with Locky, she responded:

“No we are not engaged… yet,” she wrote, followed by a diamond ring emoji and hinting that things seem to be headed that way.

The couple recently confirmed that Irena, who was based in Melbourne, has officially moved to Locky’s hometown of Perth, after struggling to seek a G2G pass, enabling her to enter Western Australia.

“I was rejected time and time again but it was finally approved,” she wrote.

Locky also recently commented on her move, insisting that it was not just for him and that he’d also be happy to give Melbourne a go if things weren’t working out for Irena in Perth.

“If Irena doesn’t like it and misses Melbourne I’ll be happy to head to Melbourne after COVID’s gone and try it there. But she’s going to fall in love with Perth, everyone that moves there ends up staying,” he said.

Irena also noted, “I’ve got a few friends over there already so that makes it easier and I’ve found work. I think it will be a real easy and smooth transition.”

Here’s hoping to another Bachelor wedding on the horizon.
