Maybe you love looking inside luxury (and totally unattainable) real estate. Or maybe you loved the golden era of The Bachelor Australia and want to peek inside the mansion where it all happened. Well, we’re happy to report you can now do both. An historic mansion that has just gone up for sale in Sydney served as the site of The Bachelor Australia for seasons two and three, circa 2014-2015.
For those lacking an encyclopaedic knowledge of The Bachelor, those were the seasons of Blake Garvey and Sam Wood. The seaside mansion is located in the prestigious Sydney suburb of Hunters Hill, where it has sat in all its glory since 1880.
The historic sandstone mansion sits across multiple levels of a waterfront block, with gorgeous manicured gardens, a tennis court, swimming pool, and plenty of nooks to sneak off with Bachie for a private chat (or smooch). There are gorgeous courtyards where the contestants would have no-doubt had a few wines and played out petty drama (for our viewing pleasure), plus grand interiors that served as idyllic settings for a rose ceremony or two.
The property, called Clifton, has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a 10-car garage. It’s expected to sell for $40 million.
One of the suburb’s most famous houses, Clifton has only changed hands three times, first selling in 1930 for only £5000, Domain reports. Oh, to have a time machine!
