Our favourite Aussie teen show, Heartbreak High is coming back to our screens.
Since its release in 2022, Heartbreak High‘s modern reboot won fans over with its diverse casting, heartfelt storylines and authentic depiction of Australian high school culture (minus the uniforms).
Much to fan’s delight, Netflix took to social media on January 29th to reveal that the second season would be arriving even sooner than we thought.

Who Is Cast In Season Two Of Heartbreak High?
Our season one favourites and a whole bunch of newcomers are cast in the second season of the show.
From season one, we are pleased to learn that the following actors will be returning:
- Ayesha Madon (Amerie)
- Chloé Hayden (Quinni)
- Asher Yasbincek (Harper)
- Will McDonald (Ca$h)
- Joshua Heuston (Dusty)
- James Majoos (Darren)
- Chika Ikogwe (SLTs Teacher Jojo Obah)
- Thomas Weatherall (Malakai)
- Gemma Chua-Tran (Sasha)
- Rachel House (Principal Woodsy)
- Sherry-Lee Watson (Missy)
- Bryn Chapman-Parish (Spider)
There are also a few new characters arriving on the school grounds, including Timothy Voss, who will be played by Angus Sampson (The Lincoln Lawyer, Fargo). This character has been described as an “uber-masculine sports teacher” who “is set to put an end to the bleeding hearts of Hartley High.
Along with a new teacher, we’re also going to be meeting two new students.
The first, Rowan (Sam Rechnew) is described as “an unassuming country boy with a dry wit and a passion for classic cinema who finds himself thrown headfirst into the chaos of Hartley High and a truly epic love triangle.”
The second new student, Zoe (Kartanya Maynard) is described as a “celibacy advocate along with her gang of Puriteens.”
What Is The Plot Of Heartbreak High Season Two?
Netflix has revealed a little more about the plot of the upcoming season in a statement.
“All our heroes are back for Term Two at the ‘lowest ranking school in the district.’ But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant, throw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain is seeing dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High,” Netflix announced.
When Will Season Two Of Heartbreak High Be Released?
Netflix has revealed that season two of Heartbreak High will be released on April 11, 2024.
Taking to X, the platform wrote “C U Next Term. Heartbreak High S2 coming April 11,” alongside a picture of a school board and a bin chicken mascot.
