It’s been a whirlwind week in the Bieber/Baldwin world with rumours of a Bahamas engagement then being confirmed by a lengthy love letter from the Biebs. The only thing missing was word from his bride-to-be, who has finally spoken out on Twitter.
After Bieber called the 21-year-old model “the love of my life”, Baldwin responded – in, may we note, a much more chilled way – saying: “Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with! No words could ever express my gratitude.”
Twitter was perhaps the strangest outlet to confirm her engagement, given old tweets from 2011 have been circulating the internet for the past few days, in which Baldwin says she’s “for sure 100% team #Jelena” and “Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream!”
The internet never forgets.
