Good news: we know exactly what it takes to get a rig like Hailey Baldwin. Bad news: it ainโt easy.
Speaking with Elle US, the 21-year-old dished all the deets on her insanely clean sugar and gluten-free diet.
โI try to be very strict about eating just for my skin and my body,โ she said, adding that hydration is key: โI think drinking a lot of water helps. I try to drink, like, a couple bottles throughout the day. I donโt know how many glasses that would amount to, but itโs important.โ
Normally, sheโll start the day with eggs, porridge, a healthy protein, or a smoothie.
โLunch is usually salad, fish, grilled veggies, or maybe a sandwich,โ she says. โI donโt really eat a lot of gluten so Iโm trying to be particular. I love a good kale Caesar salad [but with] no croutons. Thatโs usually one thing I leave out.โ
When it comes to dinner, sheโs pretty low fuss.
โ[Itโs] usually kind of along the same lines [as lunch] โ some sort of vegetable or pasta, like a gluten-free pasta. Chicken, maybe. Sometimes [Iโll do dessert.] I really like the Magnum bars, obviously, thatโs a great one. [But I generally try to avoid] sugar. Sugarโs a big one for everyone, I think.โ
And rather than indulging in a cheat-meal, Haileyโs all for making a day of it.
โThe first thing I crave, Iโll eat,โ she explains. โThatโs my rule. So, if I wake up and I want pancakes, Iโm gonna eat pancakes. If I want a cheeseburger for lunch or for dinner, Iโm gonna eat it. If I want fries, Iโm gonna eat the fries.โ
Sheโs also partial to loosening the reins on hols (coz, human).
โI did go to Maldives not too long ago, I felt like that was super lavish. I was eating whatever I wanted when I was there because youโve got to take advantage of those moments.โ
Itโs no wonder her abs are off the hook.
