Good news: we know exactly what it takes to get a rig like Hailey Baldwin. Bad news: it ainโ€™t easy.

Speaking with Elle US, the 21-year-old dished all the deets on her insanely clean sugar and gluten-free diet.

โ€œI try to be very strict about eating just for my skin and my body,โ€ she said, adding that hydration is key: โ€œI think drinking a lot of water helps. I try to drink, like, a couple bottles throughout the day. I donโ€™t know how many glasses that would amount to, but itโ€™s important.โ€

Normally, sheโ€™ll start the day with eggs, porridge, a healthy protein, or a smoothie.

โ€œLunch is usually salad, fish, grilled veggies, or maybe a sandwich,โ€ she says. โ€œI donโ€™t really eat a lot of gluten so Iโ€™m trying to be particular. I love a good kale Caesar salad [but with] no croutons. Thatโ€™s usually one thing I leave out.โ€

When it comes to dinner, sheโ€™s pretty low fuss. 

โ€œ[Itโ€™s] usually kind of along the same lines [as lunch] โ€“ some sort of vegetable or pasta, like a gluten-free pasta. Chicken, maybe. Sometimes [Iโ€™ll do dessert.] I really like the Magnum bars, obviously, thatโ€™s a great one. [But I generally try to avoid] sugar. Sugarโ€™s a big one for everyone, I think.โ€

And rather than indulging in a cheat-meal, Haileyโ€™s all for making a day of it.

โ€œThe first thing I crave, Iโ€™ll eat,โ€ she explains. โ€œThatโ€™s my rule. So, if I wake up and I want pancakes, Iโ€™m gonna eat pancakes. If I want a cheeseburger for lunch or for dinner, Iโ€™m gonna eat it. If I want fries, Iโ€™m gonna eat the fries.โ€

Sheโ€™s also partial to loosening the reins on hols (coz, human).

โ€œI did go to Maldives not too long ago, I felt like that was super lavish. I was eating whatever I wanted when I was there because youโ€™ve got to take advantage of those moments.โ€
