We loved The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt – and we weren’t the only ones. After its 2013 release, it went on to be a bestseller, and it picked up a little prize called the Pulitzer, too.
Now, The Goldfinch is slated to be made into a movie, with director John Crowley at the helm. Crowley has directed Cate Blanchett on Broadway, and steered Brooklyn starring Saiorse Ronan.
Haven’t read it yet? The Goldfinch tells the tale of a young boy who is orphaned after an explosion in an art gallery, and whose life and fortunes become entwined with a small, enigmatic painting.
