Have you ever wondered whether the Farmer Wants A Wife couples have sex during the show? According to former contestant Krissy Smith, they absolutely do.
Smith, who was coupled with Farmer Tom Boyer and runner-up in the 2024 season, told Yahoo Lifestyle that the pair consummated their relationship the first day they met.
“When I met Farmer Tom we had a connection straight away. It was obvious to me that I was his first pick and I am embarrassed to reveal we slept together on the first night at his farm. The connection felt real,” she told the publication.
Despite her strong initial feelings, Smith didn’t wind up with Boyle, who ultimately chose contestant Sarah Cranley over her. But that didn’t stop him being intimate with her right up until the last day of filming.
“He told me that I was his priority and I had no reason to believe he was interested in anyone else. We had a sexual relationship right up until the day I was told he was not going to choose me in that finale. You could imagine how shocked I was to be sidelined at that point,” she shared.
And their relationship wasn’t just physical. Smith also went on to detail how the pair would “lay in bed talking at night,” adding, “I couldn’t have imagined he would pick anyone else.”
To make matters even worse, Smith also told the outlet Boyer asked to refilm the clip of their breakup, after he allegedly wasn’t happy with the first take.
“What Australia did not see was Farmer Tom couldn’t keep his story straight when he dumped me on national TV. He was mumbling, and the initial dumping had to be reshot,” she claimed.
For his part, Boyer has stayed relatively tight-lipped on the details of his relationship with Smith.
“Can you imagine having an intimate relationship with a guy for nine weeks and then being broken up with twice because he felt he needed to have a second take? I was mortified.”
She added, “I was told to wipe away my tears and reshoot the most emotional moment of my life so he was happy with the way it would come across. I was quickly taken away and sent home, where I spent three weeks wondering what had gone wrong.”
Has Farmer Tom Responded To Krissy Smith’s Claims?
“I don’t feel the need to comment as it was a long time ago for me, and I have moved on. I also don’t really feel the need to share my intimate relationships with the public,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle.
He added, “But I am grateful for the experience and have learnt more about what sort of person I want in my life from [it], and I will just continue on with my life and hope I find someone who makes me happy and build a life with them. And hope everyone else from the show finds what they are looking for, too.”
Is Farmer Tom Still With Sarah Cranley?
Despite all the drama, Boyer and Cranley have actually gone their separate ways. In late May, Cranley took to Instagram to share news of their split, writing, “I applied to FWAW with the sole intention of falling in love with Tom and I certainly surprised myself with how deeply I felt for him in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, that lifelong love that I was seeking with Tom did not turn out the way that I hoped it would, but it’s definitely a relief now to put that truth out there that Tom and I are no longer together.”
