Farmer Wants A Wife has come to a close, with Farmer Joe finally making his choice between Keely and Sarah, and a wedding between two previous stars.
When it comes to dating shows in Australia, Farmer Wants A Wife is one of the most successful. Since the show’s first season in 2007, its seen multiple successful relationships, marriages and even children come from its matchmaking efforts.
This year is no different, with one farmer declaring he’d found love after only six episodes.
There has, however, been the case of one farmer leaving without choosing any of his romantic hopefuls. What can we say? It’s been a wild ride.

Farmer Todd
Todd is the newest Farmer Wants A Wife cast member, and was only introduced after Farmer Dean and Teegan found love and left the show. He is a 33-year-old cattle farmer from Baan Baa, New South Wales and describes himself as “easygoing and pretty relaxed” but also willing to do hard work. The third-generation farmer is looking for a partner with a similar temperament.
Who Did Farmer Todd Choose?
In the finale episode, Todd was faced with choosing between Daisy and Grace. In the end, he went with Daisy.
“Finding love is a big risk. I’m willing to take the risk with you, Daisy,” he said. “I can finally give you the reassurance that I am definitely falling in love with you.”

Daisy
Daisy, aged 28, is a gym manager from Queensland. Daisy won the heart of Farmer Todd.
Anna
Anna (short for Anastasia) is a 29-year-old lawyer from NSW. She describes herself on Instagram as a “lover of food, fitness and travel”. Anna has left the show
Mollie
As a stable foreman from Victoria, 24-year-old Mollie should fit right in with all the farmers. Mollie has left the show.
Ellen
Ellen is a 29-year-old sports journalist who says she’s “all about balance”. Ellen has left the show.
Jamira
Jamira is a 26-year-old public servant from Queensland. Jamira has left the show.
Lyesha
Lyesha, 32, is a neurosurgical nurse from South Australia. Lyesha has left the show.
Grace
Grace is a 25-year-old school teacher from New South Wales. Grace was among Farmer Todd’s final two ladies, but he ultimately went with Daisy.
Jacinta
Jacinta is a 34-year-old from Western Australia who works in corporate communications. Jacinta has left the show.
Farmer Dustin
Farmer Dustin is a 26-year-old cattle and crop farmer from Condobolin in New South Wales. As a third-generation farmer, Dustin is preserving his family’s legacy. While Dustin says he might be a little quiet and shy at first, once he gets to know you he’s “fun, happy, love a laugh and to take the mickey.”
His interests include fishing, cricket, farming and his dogs—Flick and Sam. He also enjoys cooking, anything outdoors, travelling and spending time his his friends.
When it comes to a partner, Dustin would someone who is “happy, fun, loving and loves a good time.” He’d also like her to be “easy going, thick-skinned, tough, resilient, loyal, not afraid to have a go, and family oriented.”

At the end of the series, Farmer Dustin chose Sophie, with whom he found an “immediate connection.”
“As soon as I saw you, I thought, you’re absolutely gorgeous. I really wanted you to be the first one to come home and be on the farm and see all the special places that mean so much to me,” he told her, adding that he “felt like they had known each other forever”.
Sophie responded: “I am falling in love with you and it’s nice to hear you want to give us a chance and see what the future holds”.

Sophie is a 28-year-old speech pathologist. Sophie won the heart of Farmer Dustin.

Anna is a 28-year-old midwife. Anna was the second-last hopeful remaining, but Farmer Dustin chose Sophie.

Farmer Joe is a 33-year-old cattle and sheep farmer from Bombala, New South Wales. He prides himself on being a hard worker, and always being open to “change and new challenges”. Joe is interested in travelling, wild camping, fishing, four-wheel driving, working with horses and football.
His perfect partner would be beautiful on both the inside and out, with an interest in travelling and the outdoors. He’d also like her to be “strong and independent, who knows what she wants and is content with who she is.” Ideally, she’s decisive enough to decide what she wants for dinner.
Who Did Farmer Joe Choose?
Faced with a choice between Keely and Sarah, Joe made his romantic declaration for… Sarah!
“This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” before acknowledging country-girl-at-heart Sarah had all the qualities he was looking for in a partner,” Farmer Joe said.
“I love the person you are. I love how strong and determined you are.”
“It hasn’t always been easy with us. We’ve had some tough times. I’ve sometimes felt that you’ve pulled away. But I also know that you can be a shy person and take your time to get to know people,” he continued.
“I also like that you challenge me. I don’t have all the answers for us, but I do see myself falling for you in the future. I want to tackle the future with you by my side, and us as a team. I’m looking for someone who doesn’t need me, but who wants me.”
Farmer Joe then invited Sarah back to the farm, to which she said, “absolutely”.

Sarah is a 31-year-old livestock administrator who grew up on a cattle farm. Sarah was invited back to the farm by Farmer Joe.

Taylah is a 28-year-old hairdresser. Taylah has left the show.
Keely
Keely is a 28-year-old resort office supervisor. Keely was runner-up, with Farmer Joe choosing Sarah.

Farmer Bert is 30-year-old pineapple, pumpkin and dragonfruit farmer from Warmuran, Queensland. The fourth-generation farmer has taken over his family farm and is looking for someone to share it, and his life, with. However, as the series panned-out, Farmer Bert would not be so lucky this time around.
For those still interested, Bert described himself as a little rough around the edges but an “emotional softy” on the inside, who would do anything for his friends and family. Bert enjoys anything ocean related, spending a lot of his free time fishing, boating and diving, but also enjoys travelling and spent four years of his life in Canada.
Bert is still looking for a partner who is easy-going, willing to try new things and most importantly, gets along with his family (particularly his Nana).

Oh, Bert. He chose… no one. With Brooke, Catilin and Karli left, he shocked them all by choosing no one.
“Coming into this experience, I was looking for someone to share my life with. I think all the girls are wonderful, but I don’t have what it takes to be in a relationship right now. I just don’t have the emotional time to be the person that people are deserving of. That’s the reality of it,” he said of his decision.
Despite rumours he started dating Lauren after the show had finished filming, Lauren has denied these rumours. “Though Bert and I still talk and are friends, we have not seen each other since I left the farm that night,” she said.

When it comes to finding his perfect match, Dean says that he isn’t too picky and simply wants someone who can make him smile and laugh. He would also love her to be similarly outgoing, hardworking and driven as he is, and to genuinely enjoy country life and the animals.

And there’s always room for a cheeky side.”

A week before the final episode, Farmer Tom made his choice between Sarah and Krissy by choosing… Sarah!
“Meeting your family, they did ask some very big questions that were a bit of a wake-up call, made me think about a lot of different things — how well do we know each other in that sense?” he said.
“It has been an honour having you around the farm. I’ve absolutely loved every moment of it.
“Sarah, you are the person I want a relationship with and I am falling in love with you.”
In return, Sarah responded they she loved him too.
