Coming into season three of The White Lotus the biggest theory being discussed amongst fans was the potential return of Greg and some form of retribution for the death of his wife, Tanya, the season prior.
Thankfully, creator Mike White didn’t leave us holding our breath long, revealing Greg, now under the not-so-covert alias of Gary, was alive and well in Thailand.
As the season has unfolded, we’ve seen Belinda slowly piece together Greg’s murder plot leading the LBH (loser back home) to bribe the spa manager with hush money.
Now, with the finale days away, we’re all left wondering if Greg will get his karma or will Mike White doll out some kind of twisted anecdote about greed that leaves him unscathed?
Who better to ask than Natasha Rothwell, who played Belinda on the show, on how she wants to see Greg go down. “Biblically! An eye for an eye,” Rothwell tells marie claire Australia of how Greg should meet his maker, “As a viewer, I’m like ‘yeah, lets avenge Tanya.’”
Fans of The White Lotus certainly have hung their hopes of vengeance for Tanya onto the kind-hearted spa manager, but according to Rothwell, they may be misplaced.
“Belinda is kind of the symbol for Tanya in this season, so it’s definitely a burden she carries in the public eye.
But, I feel like Belinda was so burned by Tanya I don’t know if she necessarily has the same axe to grind.”
As Leslie Bibb, who plays Kate on the show notes, if a satisfying downfall isn’t in the cards for Greg, creator Mike White undoubtedly has something poignant planned.
“I feel like with Mike, he’s so clever, it would have been so easy to throw Greg out with the bathwater,” Bibb tells us.

In fact, Bibb sympathises with the character. Fans this season have been quick to forget about Greg’s previous love affair, likely thanks to his new relationship with Chloe.
“You saw what happened in season two and that love affair between his character and Tom and then he shows up here and he’s with Chloe and you’re like ‘No, that’s not your truth’. But, he can’t live his truth.”
Sounds like there may be a bigger albeit less satisfying ending for our resident loser back home. Time will tell.
