The biggest date in the awards season calendar has finally arrived–the Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is here. If there’s one awards show worth sitting down to watch, it’s this one.
Oscars Sunday (or for us Australians, Monday) marks the last event of the season, closing out campaigns from films like Anora, The Substance, Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown.
Now in its 97th year, the awards night aims to “recognize and uphold excellence in the motion picture arts and sciences, inspire imagination, and connect the world through the medium of motion pictures.”
Translation: the biggest names in Hollywood will be in their red carpet best and all in one room. Joyous.
