What Is The Last Showgirl plot?
The Last Showgirl tells the story of Shelly, played by Anderson, a seasoned Las Vegas showgirl whose life is turned upside down when her show, The Razzle Dazzle, is abruptly brought to an end after a 30-year run.
“Las Vegas used to treat us like movie stars,” her character Shelly is heard saying in the film’s first trailer, “The costumes, the sets, we were ambassadors for style and grace, the Las Vegas showgirl, the iconic American showgirl.”
Who Is In The Last Showgirl Cast?
Outside of awards buzz, The Last Showgirl has a seriously stacked cast list, including of course Pamela Anderson as the film’s lead, Shelly.
Despite being Coppola’s first pick for the role, Anderson revealed to Variety she almost missed out on the gig when her agent at the time failed to pass along the script.
“This person just didn’t seem to think that I would want to do it, or that it wasn’t enough money, or it wasn’t something I was capable of,” Anderson told the publication.
We catch a brief glimpse of Jamie Lee Curtis in the first clip as well as Dave Bautista whose character, Eddie, works at The Razzle Dazzle.
Former Disney star, Brenda Song, and Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina star, Kiernan Shipka portray fellow showgirls Mary-Anne and Jodie.
