We’d Happily Line Up For Australia’s First Women’s Sport Bar

And it's in Sydney.

The country’s first women’s sports bar is opening in Sydney.

The venue, named The Ladies League will exclusively play women’s sport from open until close.

This will include women’s AFLW, State of Origin Women, women’s basketball, surfing and A-League soccer (every Matildas game, of course).

Founded by Rose Valente, The Ladies League finds its home in a two-storey 80-set venue on Oxford Street with a bar downstairs and viewing lounge upstairs.

The venue will offer six televisions and one big screen.

While there are already dedicated sports bars in the US, the model hasn’t arrived in Australia until now.

However, considering that the Matilda’s semi-final against England was Australia’s most-watched TV program in two decades and the recent success of Australia’s female Olympians, there’s going to be a lot of interest.

However women’s sports is not the only venture the bar will be supporting—there also will two beer taps from Bathurst’s female-led-and-run brewery, Reckless Brewing.

The Ladies League is due to open sometime in the next few months.

We can’t wait.
