As we eagerly await the start of The Bachelorette Australia‘s latest season, heads have turned away from Locky’s drama (thankfully) and towards the two leading ladies: Elly and Becky Miles.
In traditional Bachelorette fashion, the Internet has taken it upon itself to get to know the sisters before they make their debut on October 7. And as promised, they’ve delivered.
In a post by reality TV podcast So Dramatic!, eagle-eyed fans have screenshots of Elly commenting under Instagram posts by Bachelorette contestant Joe Woodbury.
According to fans, Elly and the 25-year-old mechanic apparently know each other because they are both Newcastle natives. And that rumour hasn’t been denied, with Network 10 even revealing that the pair have met in one of the recent promos.
Confirming the rumour, fans have also discovered that Elly follows Joe on Instagram.
And as past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have shown, contestants who have met the leading lad or lady tend to become the front-runner for the top spot.
From Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins and Cass Woods to Matty J and Laura Byrne, many are rumoured to have previously crossed paths. And in Matty J’s case, it clearly worked out perfectly.
In the meantime, we can only theorise—and secretly place our bets in the office sweep.
The Bachelorette premieres on Wednesday, October 7 at 7.30pm on Network 10.
