Elly Miles Calls Pete Mann ‘Out Of Touch’ For How He Treated Becky, Post-‘Bachelorette’ Finale

“I think she just feels disappointed and I guess a little bit cheated"

It’s already been a week since the season finale of The Bachelorette Australia, but the nation is still reeling over front-runner Pete Mann and Becky Miles’ unceremonious break up after only three days.

And it seems like her sister, Elly, isn’t too happy about it either.

In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, Elly opened up about how their relationship should have ended much differently and called out Pete for not being upfront with her sister, so she wouldn’t embarrass herself in front of the entire country.

“She is doing okay, she has been through worse heartbreak than what she went through with Pete,” Elly said.

“I think she just feels disappointed and I guess a little bit cheated because he wasn’t as transparent as he should have been and she could have picked the other guy and actually made a real shot at it because he was 100 per cent in.”

She added: “I don’t think he was really in touch with himself.”

The day after the finale aired, Becky shared the news of her break up in a heartfelt post to her Instagram.

“We came into this experience wanting a fairy tale ending for the two of us, and while I am thrilled Elly found her person in Frazer, unfortunately things didn’t work out with Pete and I,” Becky wrote.

She also made sure her fans knew that she had “fond memories and no regrets”, before adding: “Although I wasn’t lucky enough to find my person this time around, I am grateful for this opportunity.”

“I wish Pete happiness and all the best in his search for love,” she concluded.

Additionally, Becky also revealed more details of their split during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“We had some time together, we had our three days together. We left that time saying we were really going to miss each other, but said we were going to catch up over FaceTime,” she said.

“When he got home to Adelaide, about three days later we had a FaceTime and he said, ‘Look I’m sorry, I just can’t do it.’”

“He said he had some concerns around home towns time. I think he was scared to really tell me how he felt.”

“I just wanted to really give it a real crack in the real world but he just wanted to chuck in the towel without even having a conversation about it. I’m angry he didn’t try, [but] at the same time I’m still grateful that he told me when he told me he was 100 per cent sure that he didn’t want to continue.”

However, while Becky and Pete’s romance didn’t work out, rumours swirled that she had spent some time reconnecting with runner-up Adrian Baena—which he also confirmed over Instagram.

“We decided, ‘What the heck, let’s meet up, let’s see what happens.’ I went in with an open mind,” Adrian revealed in an Instagram video.

“It was really good, we had an amazing three days together. But to be honest, it was just sad.”

“It was kind of like when you are with your ex-girlfriend, and you are looking at her, and you used to have something special, but it’s just not there anymore. My heart wasn’t in it anymore,” he revealed.

But unfortunately, the reunion didn’t work out for the pair, with Adrian revealing that they’ve chosen to stay friends, saying: “With me and Becky now, we are super close, and I said, ‘Let’s just be friends.’ Who knows what the future holds, but right now I don’t see her as anything else than a friend.”

“I want to be someone’s first choice, I don’t want to be someone’s second choice. I want someone to be like, ‘Boom, that guy. I want that guy.’”
