Turns Out, ‘The Bachelor’s’ Zoe-Clare Wasn’t Always A Redhead

So.Many.Questions.

While we tune into The Bachelor season after season for the romance, it’s inevitable overshadowed in its beginning episodes by the ensuing drama of having 20-something women date the one person. As we tuned in to the first episode of Locky Gilbert’s season on Wednesday night, the drama came in the form of “fiery” contestant Zoe-Clare, who gave an impassioned speech on being a redhead, and the “discrimination” that comes with it.

Yes, really.

Some memorable quotes from the episode included: “We can win because I’m not blonde. I’m not brunette. I’m not anything other than what I am”; “There’s no level of respect”; “I will be a ranga until the day I die.”

But while the episode solely revolved around the revelation that Zoe-Clare was being targeted because of the colour of her hair, a quick dig through her social media would reveal that the reality star wasn’t always the copper shade she so vehemently defended.

In photos posted to Instagram from 2018, Zoe-Clare experimented with a light shade of blonde, and she looks entirely different.

Many viewers were quick to point out to Zoe-Clare that having red hair is by no means a negative thing, with many even claiming they’ve received nothing but compliments on their fiery locks.

Fellow reality star and former Bachelorette Ali Oetjen even opted to switch out her blonde tresses for a copper shade last year

In fact, we’ve already started seeing strawberry blonde and copper-toned tresses popping up all over social media and it’s the colour du jour it-girls have been testing out for years, including Lara Worthington, Zoey Deutch and Kate Bosworth
