From day one, nurse Elly Miles was a frontrunner on this season of The Bachelor Australia, but tonight viewers were totally blindsided when Matt Agnew chose to send the 24-year-old NSW country girl home.
After Elly tried to warn Matt of Abbie’s insincere intentions on Wednesday night’s episode, the astrophysicist instead sent Elly home, a decision which shocked the nation – especially those on Twitter, including the former Bachelorette Georgia Love, who had some strong words for the Bachelor.
Elly quickly took to Instagram after the episode aired, posting a lengthy note thanking those who watched the show for their support and saying that she’s “not mad” that she didn’t find love on The Bachelor. “What an amazing, journey I have been on this year.. 6 months off work, taking a leap of faith going on @thebachelorau at a chance of finding love! For me, that did not happen! And honestly, I am not mad about it one little bit! I made friendships with some truly amazing women and shared in an experience with them that tested us all beyond what you could imagine.”
