In the promo, which you can watch below, Matt Agnew tells one contestant to leave the mansion for calling him a “dog f-cker” and a “disrespectful pig”. He then tells the lady at the centre of the drama, “It’s all starting to sound like bullsh-t to me,” before telling the group of contestants, “For me, tonight’s been a tremendous waste of time. And I’m pissed off. That’s it.”

But it’s not all drama, the 31-year-old astrophysicist sneaks in plenty of kisses through the journey. It also seems like Matt’s found his special lady.

“I’ve never believed in the perfect woman until I met you, I love you,” we hear him say at the end of the promotion.

Hailed as “intelligent, genuine and determined to find a love that’s out of this world”, he says he’s ready and willing to fall in love!

“I’m still pinching myself that this is happening. It may be an unorthodox way to meet someone, but it’ll make for a cracking ‘how we met’ story,” Matt said of joining the show.

Matt has a double undergraduate degree in science and engineering, and a masters in astrophysics. Soon to be Dr Agnew, he’s also a PhD candidate at the Swinburne University of Technology where he works in the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing. But there’s just one thing missing for Matt – a partner.

“I’ve got a real ‘do it once, do it right’ mentality so I’ll be making sure I throw myself into it, be vulnerable and enjoy what comes from that. I think it’ll be a sensational experience!”
