The Bachelor Australia’s Elly Miles has planted herself as a firm favourite in this year’s series, with her undeniable connection with leading man Matt Agnew. However, it would seem the couple don’t work out in the long run, with Matt accidentally revealing that Elly gets dumped prior to the finale.

While discussing his connection with the season’s clear frontrunner on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa show, the astrophysicist says he “had” feelings for Elly. Using the word had implied those feelings are no longer there.
Matt is famous for using ambiguous phrases when discussing the winner— he once said he likes “being suitably vague to keep the audience guessing.”
The shock rumour of Elly’s departure from the franchise comes just days after claims surfaced she was set to tell Matt a “bombshell secret”.
“We’re getting to the business end in the whole experience, and I obviously haven’t told Matt yet,” Elly told TV Week.
So what’s the big secret? She has a nine-week Europe trip booked with her sister after the show wraps up.
“I was like, ‘I need to tell Matt, because I don’t want him to think it’s something I’m keeping from him’.”
“I was [even] being asked by producers why I hadn’t told him yet. It was stressing me out.”
The trip was booked well before she knew she was going on the show. And she’s hoping it won’t hurt her chances, because she’s starting to fall for Matt.
“He’s met my best friend, we’ve had a sensational second date, and now it’s time to meet my family,” she shared in the interview. “I’m at a position where I’m really, really liking this guy and I can see myself falling for him.”
Now, as far as Bachelor secrets go, this one hardly seems like a deal-breaker. We’ll have to see how things unfold for the pair on Wednesday night.
