Bridgerton Season 3 was packed with unmissable moments. One we can almost guarantee you skipped over? The fact that Eloise Bridgerton had her arm in a cast.
In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Claudia Jessie, who plays the second-eldest Bridgerton sister, revealed that she broke her wrist during filming. Accordingly, the production team had to employ a host of tricks to cover her injury during filming.
The 34-year-old revealed that the costume team constructed multiple versions of a “muff,” a cloth accessory that would have been used during the regency period to warm one’s hands. In many of her scenes, Jessie can be seen with a piece of fabric covering her wrist. However, she wasn’t the only one who had to don the accessory.
The actor added that several background actors had to wear “muffs” too, for continuity.
While the team did a great job at concealing her injury, there was one scene in which her cast was visible. Naturally, eagle-eyed fans took to X to point out the blunder.

Me: Is that Claudia Jessie’s wrist cast? 😂 pic.twitter.com/Lkok12m3FB
So how exactly did Jessie break her wrist in the first place? By doing a high kick, of course.
“I’m quite an excitable person,” she told Colbert in the same interview. “I got there, it was 8:00. We hadn’t even started filming, I feel so bad. To celebrate everybody’s good mood, I did a high kick. A celebratory high kick. I’m not a dancer. The circumference of the dress…it’s finite, it ends at some point. I wasn’t in a tracksuit. So, when I put my leg up, I was restricted immediately and then I went back.”
