The Bachelorette Australia’s Elly and Becky Miles spilled the proverbial tea in a recent radio interview, with both sisters making fairly significant ‘confessions’
Speaking to Sydney radio hosts Kylie Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson of The Kyle & Jackie O, Elly—who until the interview remained coy about her past with former fling and current contestant, Joe Woodbury—admitted that the pair slept together long before filming began.
While talking about the game ‘Never Have I Ever’, which featured during Wednesday night’s episode of the show, Elly opened up about her and Joe’s past.
“It was just a bit of a casual thing and it was just this one occasion,” she said.
“Beck and I, we’re honest people. We’re not liars, and I don’t think we would have forgiven ourselves if we were to go on there and just lie about shit.”
Although not in first place, Joe is currently tipped as a serious contender for Elly’s final rose, with odds of $3.50, behind Frazer Neate with $1.28.
Similarly, the elder Miles sister spoke about her dating past, revealing that she cheated on an ex-boyfriend when she was much younger.
“When I was a young lass I cheated on an ex-boyfriend. I know, it’s horrible,” Becky said.
“And I’ve never, ever done that again. I had a lot of guilt for many years. I was in a relationship for many years and it was a bit of a toxic relationship, and I think it was me just trying to self-sabotage it in a way … In the end, I told him about it and ended it.”
Speaking about past relationships and dating in another interview with ELLE Australia, both sisters revealed that their dating styles have changed since appearing on the show.
“Mine definitely did [laughs]. I think that journey for me started last year on The Bachelor. Prior to going on The Bachelor, I wasn’t someone who could open up and talk about my feelings very well, but I was really pushed out of my comfort zone,” Elly said.
“I said to myself before going on, ‘Just give it everything. Don’t leave anything unsaid, otherwise you’ll have regrets and you’d be doing yourself an injustice.’ So, my dating style has changed because I’m so much more emotionally aware of how I’m feeling and, I guess, more confident in expressing that, and I feel like that’s something really magical that I’ve learned about myself and it’s something that I’ve definitely evolved in since being on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.”
“I think for me, in the past it’s always been, you know, you date somebody but and you’re thinking about the future and if you want to be with that person but you’re not really asking those questions, like ‘Do you want a family? Do you want to settle down?’,” Becky added.
“And for me, that’s the time in my life, that’s where I am at the moment. I want to settle down and have a family and think of all those things. In the past, I’ve never really had those conversations with people.”
