Hold onto your hats, Australia – Channel 10 has just announced the next Bachelorette. And it isn’t Lisa Hyde, as originally predicted, or Tara (she’s now getting hitched to Sam). It is – drum roll, please – Ali Oetjen.
Ali is the loveable blonde from Australia’s very first season of The Bachelor. After she missed out on Tim Robard’s heart (that went to Anna Heinrich), Ali laid low until she re-emerged on Bachelor in Paradise this year.
Despite forming a fast relationship with American contestant Grant – and even pledging to move to LA to be with him post-Paradise – things didn’t work out.
The finale episode of Bachelor in Paradise ended with the big announcement: Ali is our newest Bachelorette.
