Demi Lovato’s friend Sheila O’Neill shared a never before seen from their time in at Sundance Mountain Resort rehab centre in Utah. This is the first time fans have had a look into Demi’s recovery since the Sober singer suffered an apparent overdose in July.
The 25-year-old entered rehab after nearly a two-week stay in the hospital where she coped with side effects including nausea and high fever according to E! News.
While it was initially reported the 25-year-old had taken heroin propr to her hospitalisation sources close to Demi told People, “some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
Taking to Instagram, the Sober singer wrote, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”
Lovato continued, “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well,” she added, before praising her fans for standing by her through this difficult time.
“To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
