Dust off your copy of The Book of Shadows and grab those low-rise jeans; the cult TV series Charmed is making a comeback.
Rebooted and set in the present, the new version of Charmed follows three magical sisters—Mel, Maggie, and Macy—at their university.
The CW Network’s series comes from Jane the Virgin executive producer Jennie Urman, while Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin wrote the pilot script.
In the newly-released trailer, Mel and Maggie lose their mother unexpectedly; months later, their long-lost sister Macy appears on their doorstep.

Reactions to the trailer on social media have been mixed, with many Twitter users praising the female creative team and the Latinx actresses, while others expressing their undying love for the original series.
The Charmed reboot is focusing on LATINX SISTERS with a DIVERSE CAST of LOVE INTERESTS one of which is a QUEER RELATIONSHIP!

I am going to DIE!!! I didn't think I would be so pumped for a reboot of one of my fave childhood shows, but this sounds so fresh and updated and awesome! https://t.co/YtHYe3Qe52
So excited for the world to see the new version of #charmed on Sunday nights! So much love for the original in there…

#CharmedReboot is an abomination, and needs to be shut down! They are going to ruin the name #Charmed and lose their original fan base (unless that's the goal?) -_- Bring back Holly, Alyssa & Rose, then we can talk #Charmed.
