From celebs who have long grown their own wine to ones that found a spirit they just coulnd’t help but partner with, there are plenty of brands out their fronted by your favourite A-lister.

Drew Barrymore 

Former marie claire Australia cover girl Drew Barrymore launched the eponymous Barrymore Wines in 2012, in partnership with Californian wine-makers at Carmel Road Winery. The actress is hands-on with her involvement, working closely with winemakers in the development of her Pinot Noir, Rosé and Pinot Grigio, which she says she aims to be “expressive with unique personalities.”

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is releasing his very own rosé Champagne, Fleur du Miraval. The Oscar-winning actor released the new wine under his and ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s Miraval label, a very popular rosé made on the Miraval estate. The former couple owns the company alongside the Perrins family, who together have helped to make Miravel one of the most popular rosé wines in the world.

Dan Aykroyd

Comedian, actor, writer and vodka-owner Dan Aykroyd really was the king of cool when he released Crystal Head Vodka with artist John Alexander. The skull-shaped bottle sets it apart from other vodka brands in itself, and has become a party staple. According to the Crystal Head website, the liquid is filtered seven times – three of which are through semi-precious crystals.

When Sam Neill isn’t escaping dinosaurs in Jurassic Park films or starring in hit TV series, he’s running his vineyard, Two Paddocks. Neill’s not all that fond of the celebrity wine-maker category though, telling The Drinks Business: “I’ve been making wine for 20 years and don’t want to be lumped into that category.” Interestingly, Neill’s vineyard lies in New Zealand’s Gibbston.

Francis Coppola

Sofia Coppola’s film, Marie Antoinette, showcased the last French Queen’s lavish lifestyle. Coppola must know a thing or two about fine dining, with her father, Francis Coppola, having named his wine after her. Sofia is a tribute from Frances to his only daughter, and the “romantic, ebullient spirit of women everywhere.” Unfortunately, the wine isn’t yet available in Australia.

George Clooney

George Clooney first lent his name to Nespresso in 2006. He has since added spirits to the list of beverages he puts his face to when he created Casamigos tequila with life long friends Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman. Their idea was to make a tequila that didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime.

Ryan Reynolds

While he may be known for his playful banter with wife Blake Lively, the actor also put his name to well-known gin brand, Aviation. The gin was named after a classic cocktail known as the Aviation, which was created in the early twentieth century by well-known bartender Hugo Ensslin, and published by him in 1916.

David And Victoria Beckham

David Beckham proved he’s the ultimate husband when in 2008, he purchased a vineyard in the Napa Valley for his wife Victoria as a birthday surprise. Despite choosing not to market the product with their famous last name, the wines have reached significant success. The couple have also remained quiet on the location of their vineyard.

New mum Cameron Diaz and entrepreneur Katherine Power announced the launch of clean wine brand, Avaline. It features wines that are vegan-friendly, made with organic grapes, and free of unnecessary additives. Gordon Ramsay

If Ramsay’s hellish behaviour on-screen brings you joy, then the celebrity chef’s latest alcoholic venture will excite both you and your taste buds. The father of five has just announced his plans to launch his own hard seltzer brand in 2021, called Hell’s Seltzer, to pay homage to his infamous Hell’s Kitchen series.

The product lineup features flavours like Knicker Twist (passion fruit, pineapple, and orange), Mean Green (kiwi, lime, mint, and pineapple), Berry Inferno (peach, blueberry, and raspberry) and That’s Forked (key lime, vanilla, and graham). According to the brand’s website, each sip promises a “f–king sinsational” drinking experience, and considering Gordon’s critical taste, one can expect a tasty beverage.
