When it comes to picking out an engagement ring, many choose motifs that recall a special time in a couple’s relationship – from a romantic trip to the sentiment behind the gems.
It’s becoming more and more common for couples to choose rings that suit their own personalities and stories, and engagement rings are no longer fit in a single mould. From the shape of the stone to the placement, some engagement rings are truly unique in their stories.
Nobody knows this more than celebs, who have shared that their engagement rings hold much greater value than the triple zero price tag. We’ve curated some of the most sentimental celebrity engagement rings.

Blake Lively
The Gossip Girl alum revealed in an interview with British Vogue that her most treasured possession is her engagement ring from husband Ryan Reynolds. “My most treasured possession is my engagement ring made by my dear friend Lorraine Schwartz, because of the love and meaning it symbolises,” she told the publication. “No, I didn’t have any hand in its design, I married a gentleman.”
