If you have a Netflix account, then there’s a good chance that you’re well aware of Bling Empire. Now, the streaming giant has confirmed that the wealth-riddled reality TV series is getting the spin off treatment, this time in New York City.
A smash hit on Netflix, Bling Empire has often been described as Crazy, Rich Asians meets Selling Sunset. Courtesy of its opulence and displays of luxury, fans of the film and TV series found solace in Bling Empire while they waited to devour more content about opulence and fortune.
Having recently finished up its third season, Bling Empire follows the lives of an extremely wealthy group of Asian and Asian American friends in Los Angeles. Aside from the fabulous parties they attend and the extravagant shopping sprees they frequently splurge on—and causally dropping $20,000 a month on rent—the glitz and the glamour hides secrets amongst the group.
Now, as the show heads to New York City, a new group of wealthy friends will be taking up real estate on our screens.

What is the plot of Bling Empire: New York?
Much like Bling Empire, this spin off series will follow the lives of Manhattan’s elite as they navigate their way through high society. However, the New York spin off will also follow season two cast member, Dorothy Wang, as she moves to the Big Apple.
There’s a solid chance that we’ll be privy to witnessing the same level of drama and extravagant ensembles, but this time, in the concrete jungle.
Who is cast in Bling Empire: New York?
Aside from following season two’s Dorothy all the way to New York, no other Bling Empire cast members—not even our beloved Anna Shay—look to be making any cameos in the spin off.
From the trailer alone, we’ve been able to briefly meet the faces that’ll be taking over our screens shortly. First, there’s Tina, who is clearly the fashion savant and It-girl of the group. Then, there’s Stephen and Deborah, who are a duo who might look charismatic on the surface but are more sinister underneath. And finally, there’s Richard, who claims to have dated half the women in New York City, which may or may not include Dorothy.
Speaking of, Dorothy looks to be one of the main personas for the spin off series with the trailer stating as such. Admitting to not having much luck with the Los Angeles dating scene, she is hoping to “vibe” better with the men in New York. And after hinting at some potential history with Richard, it seems like her dating life (and the pressures of New York society) could be the centre point of the series.

So far, Netflix has kept details about the release date for Bling Empire: New York on the down low. However, according to the teaser, it looks to be “coming soon”.
As for where you can watch the spin off series, it will obviously be premiering and living on Netflix.
