One of the most romantic events in life is the big question: will you marry me? A recent U.K survey by You & Your Wedding has revealed that 36% of couples get engaged whilst on holiday. When it comes to choosing the perfect proposal spot there’s a slew of romantic places that will create that once in a lifetime feeling such; Paris, New York Rome, and London.

Even the royals are prone to popping the big question abroad. The Duke of Cambridge Prince William always knew he wanted to propose to Kate Middleton overseas, opening up about the significance of their proposal spot. “I regularly daydream. Africa is definitely one of the places I go to. It does completely settle me down. [Kate] understands what it means to me being in Africa, and my love of conservation,” he told CNN. 

To celebrate World Proposal Day on March 20 the dating gurus at Elite Singles surveyed 1600 people to uncover the most breathtaking travel spots to explore and discovered the places that’ll make your loved one go weak at the knees.
