This high concept murder mystery is such a page-turner. I’m almost at the end and am seriously considering reading it now in the work bathroom stalls.

A story of friendship, Rao’s debut novel tells the story of two women who were incredibly close as children and were torn apart as adults.
Speak No Evil by Uzodinma Iweala
Speak No Evil is Iweala’s long-awaited follow-up to Beasts of No Nation — the book behind the incredible 2015 film. It traces a young Nigerian-American man coming to terms with his sexuality after his parents find gay apps on his phone, which were installed as a joke by his friend. A brilliant and essential 2018 read.
Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
Fans of Jodi Picoult and Jojo Moyes will love Before I Let You Go, a heartwrenching story of an addict who tells her sister she’s pregnant.
The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton
If you loved The Girl on the Train, you’ll love Hamilton’s compelling, brilliantly written psychological thriller.
The Cactus by Sarah Haywood
Susan Green is an independent and endearingly prickly woman whose life is spiralling out of control. You’re gonna love her.
Dogs With Jobs by Laura Greaves
Great. Now even dogs have cooler jobs than the rest of us. Meet Bailey, the assistant director of seagulls at the Maritime Museum.
Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler
Sweetbitter was one of the most talked about books of last year – and for good reason. Following a young woman who moves to New York City to work at a restaurant, this novel is one of those strange reads which grips you so strongly, though it’s hard to explain why. Danler’s beautiful writing certainly helps matters, though.
The Perfect Couple by Lexi Landsman
Australia’s answer to Gillian Flynn, Landsman’s Gone Girl-esque novel will keep you guessing.
The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor
It’s been dubbed the next crime thriller sensation – for good reason. Put this debut novel on your 2018 must-read list.
The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth
A book Liane Moriarty fans will love. I read it in one sitting – tears and all.
