While Nick Cummins’ is currently dating 25 women simultaneously on the new season of The Bachelor, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the rugby union star’s previous relationships, and it turns out he is the relationship type.
The Honey Badger was previously in a long-term relationship with Norwegian artist Martine Thomassen until the pair split in 2016.
The couple were together for five years and reportedly met through his brother, Nathan, at a footy match in 2010, according to Perth Now.
The pair appears to be on good terms, both still following each other on Instagram (the millennial version of an amicable split), and Thomassen has even been the subject of speculation over whether Cummins has already split with his winning bachelorette. Something the Honey Badger denies, of course.
Speaking with KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O, he dodged a question from a caller about a reunion with the artist.
“That’s a beauty,” he said, adding, “well, I’d have to fly to Norway, which that would be a whole different kettle of fish. How am I going to do my work there?”
But he did go on to say he and Thomassen, have both moved on.
“No, no. I’ve had that chat and we both know we’ve moved on. But I’m excited to see where her life goes as well.”
So in the 18 months he has been single, it appears there’s been no one serious, however, most recently it was revealed that the Honey Badger dated Love Island star Millie.
In an interview with New Idea, the 24-year-old said she went on three dates with Cummins but said “they didn’t really click”. When they dated remains unclear.
“It was a little bit awkward,” she said of their dalliance, adding that it didn’t work out because “he’s really into all his spiritual stuff”.
“He had a crystal on his head while he was laying down and stuff.”
So he’s into crystals huh, file that under things we didn’t know about this year’s Bachelor.
Then there’s also the fact that Cummins was previously linked with one of the contestants on this very season, Cassandra Wood.
While Wood doesn’t deny knowing the Honey Badger, she says the pair “socialised” previously (whatever that means) but a friend has reportedly told the Daily Telegraph it was a romantic connection and they were “more than just friends”.
So whether he rekindles things with Cass, or chooses a new lady leading lady remains to be seen…
