Time to give this car another look

I was very pleasantly surprised with the Skoda Superb wagon 162TSI

Iโ€™ve never been a wagon fan. Itโ€™s not even a mum car, itโ€™s a proper dad car. It must be a hangover from the 70โ€™s when the old Kingswoods dotted the streets. But wagons have come a long way since then. Case in point: the Skoda Superb.

Itโ€™s actually beautifully designed, sleek and elongated. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Skodas are from the same company as VW and Audi, so the interiors are just as stylish. You know that feeling you get when youโ€™re surrounded by quality? It comes over you like a cool drink of water on a hot summerโ€™s day and makes you go โ€œahhโ€. Thatโ€™s the feeling you get sitting in one of these.

The driving is so smooth, itโ€™s positively creamy, itโ€™s got power to get up hills quickly and weaves in and out of traffic well. Itโ€™s a pleasure to drive. Then thereโ€™s the very-excellent-and-oh-so-necessary-when-you-have-kids giant boot. Being able to throw things in the back takes just one thing off your mind. Plus it has all the usual bells and whistles โ€“ Apple Carplay, advanced safety features โ€ฆ theyโ€™ve even popped in an umbrella for you in the door. And just like that, Skoda may have converted me to liking wagons. Who knew?
