It’s been more than 10 years since Jennifer Garner graced our screens as international spy Sydney Bristow on Alias.
The series by J.J. Abrams lasted five seasons (and featured 238 statement wigs), before Sydney retired from espionage.
There have been reboot rumours ever since, and Garner has finally addressed them saying something is in the works.
“I’ve heard that there’s an Alias reboot happening, but no one’s talked to me about it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I mean, it would be totally different. But if they didn’t have me on as a guest, I would be very, very angry. But I can’t imagine it being that serious yet because I haven’t heard anything about it at all.”
There you have it, if you’re working on the Alias reboot, you had better give Garner a call. Or else.
The 46-year-old actress is about the make her return to TV after years focusing on film, starring in HBO’s new series Camping.
“I’ve never thought of returning to TV as some huge thing, so it wasn’t a barrier to me that I had to get over,” Garner said of joining the cast of Camping, an eight-episode series from Girls showrunners Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.
And it’ll be great practice for her triumphant small screen return on Alias. Bring back the wigs.
