In a very boozy Christmas miracle, Aldi is launching a giant bottle of bubbly that will fill 24 glasses. The jeroboam of premium DOCG Prosecco is both affordable and reportedly very drinkable, which ticks all of our boxes.
Aldi’s offering from Italy’s Veneto region is the size equivalent of four bottles and costs just £39.99 ($66 AUD).
As Good Housekeeping reports, the Prosecco has a light nose with “fresh citrus fruits and wisteria flower” and features a “refreshing acidity and soft sherbet taste”.
Aldi has been hailed as recent go-to for award-winning wine and spirits, from $15 gin to an $8 Côtes de Provence Rosé.
Sadly, the Prosecco is only available in the UK from November 14, but we’re praying to the Aldi gods that it launches in Australia soon too.
