Despite Adele claiming she would use her Saturday Night Live hosting gig to focus on acting, the singer surprised fans when she turned one skit into a mini-concert—performing some of her greatest hits.
While spoofing The Bachelor franchise, Adele was introduced as herself, interrupting every dating scenario with a solo of one of her award-winning songs, including Hello, Someone Like You and Set Fire To The Rain.
One thing’s for sure, Adele’s five-year hiatus hasn’t hindered her incredible voice.

Of course, Adele couldn’t appear on the long-running talk show without giving fans an update on her forthcoming album.
“I know there’s a lot of chatter about me being the host. Like, ‘Why is she not the musical guest?’ and stuff like that,” she told the audience. “Well, there’s a couple of reasons: My album’s not finished, and I’m too scared to do both. I’d rather just put on wigs, have a glass of wine or six, and see what happens!”
According to reports, Adele had planned to release her upcoming album in September but has remained pretty tight-lipped on the matter. The last album the Grammy award-winner released was in 2015, titled ’25’.
Adele also used the appearance to address the topic that’s been on everyone’s lips lately—her weight.
“I know I look really, really different since you last saw me, but, actually, because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light and only bring half of me, and this is the half I chose,” she said in her opening monologue.
We might not have an album yet, so we’ll be using this epic performance to tide us over until September.
