Set at Los Angeles’ famous Griffith Observatory at sunset, Adele’s performance included a rather A-list audience, featuring Gabrielle Union, Sarah Paulson and Lizzo to name a few. But after her performance, a notoriously private Adele opens up to Oprah about what went into making her new album, handling fame and how she dealt with divorce while in the public eye.

“The process of making [the new album] has been really special,” Adele explains during their one-on-one.

Luckily for fans in Australia, we won’t have to miss out on what is sure to be a tear-jerking performance and ground-breaking conversation, as the interview will air down under.

In the trailer of the specialwhich you can watch above—Adele teases that there will be “old ones” and “new ones” regarding the songs she will be singing during the performance.

Rumour has it (pun intended), the 33-year-old performs past hits like “Hello”, “Rolling in the Deep” and “Skyfall”, as well as four new songs, including her latest single, “Easy on Me.”

According to a synopsis by CBS, Adele and Oprah’s conversation is apparently set to cover “her new album, the stories behind the songs, life after divorce, weight loss and raising her son”, as well as the origin of her chart-topping hit, “Hello”.

Taking to Twitter, Oprah shared a clip of her and Adele’s first meeting prior to their exclusive tell-all. The pair can be seen sharing a hug in the talk show host’s guesthouse, where they also look to be wearing coordinating outfits.

As per Oprah Daily, Oprah was so excited to meet Adele for the first time that she apparently had an outfit custom-made to match for the occasion. However, once she found out “what the songstress would be wearing”, she chose to “change her outfit last minute.”

“I was excited to meet @adele for the first time ever and I’m glad she is as real & down to earth as we believe her to be,” Oprah’s own tweet read. “Before any interview, I ask my guest for their intention for our conversation. I went to see Adele as she was getting ready in my guesthouse to ask her the same thing.”

“She said she just wanted an in-depth, wholesome explanation to the last six years of her life—and that’s exactly what you’ll be getting with this concert special,” the talk show host reassured fans.

But that’s not all. In an exclusive interview with CBS Mornings, Oprah confirmed that she and Adele chat openly about her upcoming album, with the musician revealing to Oprah that 30 is “more than just a divorce album”.

She also is set to explain how the “brutally honest” lyrics to her new song “Hold On” are in response to how her friends would tell her to “hold on” whenever she was “struggling”, adding that the song will be “anthem throughout the world for anybody struggling with anything.”
