Perhaps you remember a little record-breaking film called Barbie (or its rival, Oppenheimer)? The year’s biggest box office hits will now go head-to-head for accolades with the films’ casts, writers and directors rumoured to be receiving nods.

While a nominees list is yet to be announced, you can expect to see films like Poor Things, Saltburn and perhaps even Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film on the ballot.

And let’s not forget the red carpet. While we’re hanging in to see how Margot Robbie follows up the phenomenal looks of her Barbie press tour, rumoured nominees like Florence Pugh, Emma Stone, Greta Lee and more are also expected to be there to serve on the red carpet.

The 2024 Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood — meaning, it will land on Monday, March 11 in Australia.

The broadcast of the ceremony is expected to begin around 10:30 AEDT, however, a red carpet will precede the three-hour long awards event.

You can watch the 2024 Academy Awards in Australia via Channel 7 and 7Plus live during the day, with an encore screening in the evening. 7Bravo will also show the E! Live from the Red Carpet broadcast.
