Donald Trump, the housing affordability crisis and photos of our eyebrows five years ago are just a few things we find truly terrifying in 2018.
But John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s new supernatural horror film, A Quiet Place, surely tops the list as the scariest thing of all.
“If they can’t hear you, they can’t hunt you,” is the chilling premise of the film, which follows a family living a very quiet life to avoid the clutches of creatures that hunt via sound.
A Quiet Place has received ecstatic praise from both critics and audiences. Its innovative concept, ingenious sound design and excellent performances have been applauded.
But its biggest selling point? The scare factor. See the most hilarious responses from petrified Twitter users below.

The only thing that could have made #AQuietPlace better is if it was Jim and Pam and they were taking shelter at Schrute Farms. pic.twitter.com/HvK7A6Bbw4

A QUIET PLACE is an extraordinary piece of work. Terrific acting, but the main thing is the SILENCE, and how it makes the camera's eye open wide in a way few movies manage.
