Deciding what to do with a present that was gifted by an ex is always a tricky one. Do you keep it for sentimental value, or do you part ways with it to start anew.
When it comes down to it, it’s all about how you and your significant other ended things.
If the relationship ended amicably, you might be tempted to keep a piece of jewellery, whereas if things ended not so amicably, you might be temped to hurl that said piece of jewellery into the ocean.
A Melbourne woman has gone viral after she decided to list a Pandora charm bracelet her now ex-husband gifted her after discovering he was unfaithful throughout their marriage.
Selling the item on Gumtree, the woman writes: “I’m selling the Pandora bracelet that my ex-husband thoughtfully put together for me while he lied to me throughout our marriage.
“It turns out that pretty trinkets don’t pay for betrayal.
“Safety chain with 14ct yellow gold hearts – designed to keep the bracelet together better than our marriage.
Then, in what can only be described as the sassiest ad on the Internet, the woman goes on to describe each charm – which were given by her ex at different points in their relationship.
“Limited edition teddy bear with 14ct yellow gold heart – much like the limited nature of his trustworthiness,” she uses to describe one.
Another is described as, “Forever together – apparently not”
The woman finishes with a succinct description of the payment options.
“Payment: PayPal or cash (apparently tears of my enemy is not a legitimate payment type). Melbourne CBD.”
You go girl.
The item is still up for sale.
