Why Is The Internet Looking For Natalie Portman’s Pants?

The hashtag #FindPortmansPants has gone viral, and this is the important reason why

Jonathan Safran Foer, bestselling author, releases his first novel in almost six years. The New York Times T Magazine writes a glowing profile on him and said Oscar-winning actress’ intellectual e-mail correspondence. He gets to wear pants.

The internet has exploded at the blatant misogyny in the way T Magazine has dealt with their dual celebrity interviewees this month. While Safran Foer gets to wax (very) lyrical about his literary craft, his influences, his stance on his neighbourhood’s weekly garbage schedule, all while wearing pants, Portman however has to make do in a mixed bag of lingerie pieces and oversized sweaters and knee high socks, looking miserable (and possibly very cold) in a drafty mansion house.

But where, oh where, are Natalie Portman’s pants? The internet has taken it upon itself to find them, launching the hashtag #FindPortmansPants which was soon trending on Twitter.

Any leads, you can tweet us at @marieclaireau. Natalie Portman – and her pants – will be eternally grateful.
