This year, Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays topped the list for the fourth year in a row, but there were some surprises in store.

While Bondi Beach in Sydney didnโt make the list, Manly Beach took a slot. The Strand in Townsville also won a place for the first time ever.

Here are the top ten beaches in Australia according to TripAdvisor:
1. Whitehaven Beach, Queensland
This gorgeous location is in the Whitsundays, and praised for its white sand and crystal blue water.

2. Surfers Paradise Beach, Queensland
Itโs best to hit this beach from October to May, and itโs conveniently close to the city.

3. Noosa Main Beach, Queensland
Itโs not too crowded and is conveniently located near boutique shops.

4. Manly Beach, New South Wales
This Sydney beach is a popular surfing destination.

5. Turquoise Bay, Western Australia

True to its name, the water at Turquoise Bay is the brightest blue.

6. Burleigh Heads Beach, Queensland
This beach is a popular alternative to Surferโs Paradise Beach, and great all year round.

This is a great place to escape in the winter months, and is a popular place to walk in Townsville.
