Controversial zoo owner Jeff Lowe has revealed that Netflix is currently filming a bonus episode after the documentary single-handedly saved the world from television exhaustion.

Fellow fan of the series, Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, teased the reveal in a video sent to him by Lowe and his wife Kourtney Turner.

The unlikely group became friends after Turner expressed his love of the divisive documentary on his partner’s podcast Holding Kourt.

In the now-viral video shared via Twitter, Lowe says: “Hey Kourtney and Justin, this is Jeff and Lauren from the Tiger King show on Netflix. Thanks for watching our show.”

“Netflix is adding one more episode,” he teased. ‘It will be on next week. We’re filming here tomorrow.”

Understandably, Twitter users couldn’t handle their excitement with the clip garnering over 1,900 likes so far.

If you have yet to watch (read: binge) the documentary, we are first and foremost incredibly impressed by your restraint.

To put things into context, the seven-part series follows the extraordinary tale of “mulleted, gun-toting polygamist and country western singer” Joseph Maldonado-Passage – Joe Exotic, to you and I.

In the gripping documentary, the self-proclaimed “Tiger King” runs Garold Wayne Exotic Animal Memorial Park, an Oklahoma roadside zoo where he breeds “big cats”.

But things take a mysterious turn when founder and CEO of Big Cat Rescue (a non-profit sanctuary for exotic cats in Tampat), Carol Baskin, makes it her mission to shut down Exotic’s controversial zoo.

A bitter rivalry soon escalates between the arch enemies with scandalous lies, shameless stalking and mysterious disappearances resulting in Exotic eventually being arrested for a murder-for-hire plot.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is now available to stream on Netflix.
