HBO has blessed us on this wonderful Friday.
Not only have they released a new poster but they have *finally* given us a release date!
And we’ve got some bad news – it’s not until July.

HBO started off the hype by releasing the new poster last night – which essentially tells us nothing, it’s just ice and some fire.
We already know that the entangled storylines of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen probably represent the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ that the book title refers to, and we know an epic war is coming.
This was confirmed by a teaser trailer which, again, doesn’t really tell us anything, just pulls quotes from the different houses explaining why they’re involved in the great war to come.

The release date was then announced in a separate post – it’s July 16, 2017.
Thrones fans, we’ve been patient up until this point, and we can keep it going, so hang in there.
