Matt Damon Is Taking A Year Off Acting To Spend More Time With Family

Matt Damon has been very busy lately, and it’s about time he took a well-deserved break from acting.

The Jason Bourne actor told the Today Show in the US that he can’t wait to take a year off because he’s been so busy.

“I took a bunch of roles in a row. I’ve done four straight movies in a row and I have one more to go,” he said.

He added that the reason he’s taking time off is to spend more time with his wife, Luciana Barroso and their daughters.

“They’re really good sports. They’re great travellers,” Damon said. “But I’m excited to finish this year of work and take a year off and be at their behest for once.”

He’s also looking forward to taking a break from the strenuous workouts required for the Bourne movies.

“I mean, I’m 45. I started doing these, I was 29 — all that stuff came a lot easier,” said Damon. “I’m a better actor now than when I was 29, so that part was a little easier.”
