The brains behind two of our all-time favourite shows, Gossip Girl and The O.C are now working on a new project, and let’s just say we’re pretty excited about it.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are sticking to the teen genre that they know best with the adaptation of hit YA novel 13 Minutes.
The pair will write and produce the film, which has been picked up by Netflix according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The book, described as a mix between Gone Girl and Mean Girls, centers on a popular student who dies for 13 minutes before she is revived. Her best friend tries to solve the attempted murder but becomes caught up in a social media web of lies and manipulation.
No word on casting for the roles or a release date as yet, but safe to say the project is in good hands with these guys.
