He expresses himself through song

He cancelled all his media interviews (bar one) following his shock exit from The Bachelorette last week, but now series villain Sam Cochrane has finally spoken out.

After Sophie Monk called Kyle and Jackie O on Friday to say Sam made her “feel really uncomfortable” and was “performing for the cameras” during filming, he stayed quiet. But now he’s ready to express himself… with a performance.

In true Sam Cochrane style, the Bachelorette evictee posted two videos to Instagram, which show him singing Billy Joel’s ‘She’s Always A Woman’ while his mother accompanies him on piano.

“Women… Here is a song about how beautiful and complex they are while sitting next to the woman that taught me to love,” he’s captioned the post. “This was the night I got out of the mansion.”

“Negativity has begun since getting out and I was about to defend myself with evidence. Only part truths made it to the screen and I know the truth in my heart… why battle? – there is enough of that shit in the world and let’s face it. All we need is love.”

We can only assume he’s referring to the fact that after he told Kyle and Jackie O that he and Sophie Monk shared a “great” kiss, Monk called the radio show to set the record straight – and give a damning indictment of Sam. “I gave him a rose and pecked him to be polite, and he goes, ‘can I have a peck?’ and I said ‘that was a peck’ and then he grabbed my head and kissed me and I didn’t really kiss him back,” Monk said. “It made me feel really uncomfortable, so if they [producers] cut it out, that’s why.”
