The 2017 Grammy Awards were filled with unforgettable moments, like Adele refusing to accept her award for best album, Beyonce appearing as an actual goddess on stage, and James Corden’s epic cut-out car karaoke.
But there were lots of little moments you might have missed. Here are just a few of our favourites…
1. Rihanna’s secret flask in the audience
As it turns out, celebs need more than just Beyonce performing or joke segments at an awards show to have fun. Rihanna brought along a flask to enhance the experience. But not just any flask – a DIAMOND FLASK!
The Internet quickly picked up on it and started making memes, but even Rihanna could see the funny side, posting this to her Instagram…
2. Beyonce’s hidden graphic on her dress
Did you spot the face on Beyonce’s sheer sparkly dress during her performance? We certainly didn’t, here’s a close up view…
3. James Corden’s not-so-subtle dig at Trump
When James Corden entered the room, he ‘accidentally’ fell down some stairs. He began rapping, and poked fun at Trump.
“Live it all up because this is the best and with President Trump we don’t know what comes next,” he said.
The stairs may also have been a reference to Trumps supposed ‘fear of stairs’.
4. Chance The Rapper made history
Chance The Rapper took away three Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance. The 23-year-old artist made history as the first streaming-only artist to win the Best Rap Album award, even beating out Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo with his mixtape Coloring Book.
“Glory be to God. I claimed this victory in the name of the Lord,” he said in his acceptance speech. “I want to thank God for my mother and my father who supported me since I was young.”
5. Pentatonix performing ‘ABC’ by The Jackson Five
Though it was a bit out of the blue, a cappella group Pentatonix did an incredible rendition of ‘ABC’. But you might have missed it because the awards were ramping up by this point in the show. Watch their antics here…
