A police investigation is underway after Taylor Swift and a number of her high-profile friends including Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne have reportedly received death threats via their Twitter accounts.
The 26-year-old singer is believed to have received a message via the social media site which read, “I will kill some of you.”
According to TMZ, Gigi was also told, “people gon (sic) die they’re gon die die die die!” while a message to Cara read, “I will kill your friends and I am excited about it.”
Police were first alerted to the situation after director Kyle Newman reported threats made to his wife, Jamie King, who also happens to be one of Taylor’s BFFs.
New mum Chrissy Teigen is also believed to have received a threatening message and police are looking into whether this is related.
Police are currently investigating the threats say TMZ, and have obtained a search warrant allowing them access to Twitter’s records in order to locate the troll.
No word on whether they have found the culprit as yet.
