Name a more iconic duo than Stranger Things‘ loveable Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and the perfectly coiffed jock Steve Harrington (Joe Keery). We’ll wait.
In season two of the hit Netflix show, we saw Steve play dad to the Stranger Things youngsters, especially Dustin. He fought off demo-dogs, shared some excellent relationship advice and revealed his hair secret (four puffs of Farrah Fawcett spray).
Appearing at PaleyFest, executive producer Shawn Levy hyped the return of Dad Steve in the show’s third season.
“We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic,” he revealed, The Hollywood Reporter notes. “I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.”
Levy also teased what Eleven and the rest of the gang have in store for them.
“Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas. But again, they’re like 13- or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life?” he said. “It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability,
