Theyโre Australiaโs ultimate bromance, making us LOL for the past 10 years at their hilarious antics. But did you ever stop and wonder how it all began.
The pair of make mention of their uni days, but now Andy has revealed exactly how the hilarious duo came to be best mates.
โIt was really bizarre,โ Andy explained to Craig Bruce on the Game Changers: Radio podcast.
โI hadnโt been to class very often. I wasnโt a great student. I wasnโt really engaged in what I was doing and there was a management class and I knew I was going to need these 10 attendance points to get a pass.โ

Having not shown up to class all semester, Andy knew he was going to have to do something drastic to get those points, sp he came up with a plan.
โI just left my hand up and I said, โIโd love a chance to address the classroom.โ So I went up and I made a speech to the whole class and him about, โif I was here, I would be more distracting and for the good of everyone here, I think youโre all going to do better, come this exam, because of my absence.โ And then I said, โwith that in mind, I think I should probably get 10 [attendance points], but Iโll leave it with youโ.โ
โA guy called Pete came up to me โฆ and said, โHey, youโre a lot like my friend Hamishโ,โ Andy recalled.
โHe said, โYou should meet him.โ I said, โYeah, OK, where is he?โ And he said, โOh, heโs in Sydney โฆ but heโs here next yearโ.โ
Four months later, Pete introduced Hamish to Andy. โWe cut Pete out of the relationship, went across to the pub and that was the start of getting to know each other,โ Andy said.
Within 12 months the pair had scored their own radio show on Fox FM in Melbourne and the rest, as they say, is history.
