The celebrity wedding of the year is almost upon us! Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are preparing to say “I do” this coming weekend, Saturday 29th June – if a post by Dr. Phil is anything to go by, that is. The famous couple got engaged after less than a year of dating back in October 2017 and after a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in May to get the legalities out of the way, are now about to walk down the aisle in France.
Here’s everything we know so far about Joe and Sophie’s upcoming *second* wedding.

The Date
When the recently reunited Jonas Brothers made a special appearance on The Late Late Show, Joe revealed that he and Sophie would be tying the knot later this year. “We’re getting married this year,” he told James Corden. “We’re going to have a summer wedding. I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
While appearing on The Graham Norton Show on May 24, Turner gave away a few more details. “You are having a big party?”, the host asked. Turner responded “Potentially…” Probing further, Norton had a go at guessing the specifics, Is that a secret? Not anymore! I didn’t sign anything. It’s in France! 15th of July! Just outside Montpellier.”
Turner joked, “That was a pretty good guess!”
Just today, Dr. Phil accidentally spilled the beans, commenting on a photo of Joe and Sophie, writing, “1 week to go! See you at the wedding!”. This means, if our calculations are correct, Joe and Sophie will wed on Saturday 29th June.
The Location
The couple is reportedly tying the knot in France and are currently posting pictures in Paris. In November 2018, life coach Mike Bayer accidentally revealed Joe and Sophie’s wedding location when he posted a now-deleted Instagram Story clip of their wedding invitation which read, “Sophie and Joe 2019 France.”
The Bridesmaids
Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner have always been major BFF goals, and at the HBO Season Premiere party of Game of Thrones the pair gave away some exciting wedding news. The subject came up when Entertainment Tonight told Sophie that Maisie had told said she’s trying to figure out what to wear to Sophie’s wedding. “I don’t know why she’s thinking about [what she’s wearing to my wedding]. I’m giving her the bridesmaid dress!” Sophie replied, “She’s my maid of honour! One of two.”
The bride-to-be didn’t let slip who the second maid of honour was, but any bets it could be her J-sister Priyanka Chopra-Jonas or one of her high school best friends, a bunch of whom attended her bachelorette party earlier this month.
Earlier in the year, in an interview with Radio Times, Maisie was asked whether she was hoping to be a bridesmaid, to which she happily replied, “I already got it!”
“We’re waiting until this season’s done until we get into any of that but I think she’s already let her little heart wander and imagine,” Williams added of the wedding planning process.
The Groomsmen
Since Joe was a groomsman in Kevin and Nick’s weddings, it’s same to assume that he will include them and his youngest brother, Frankie, in his wedding to Sophie.
The Activities
Jonas revealed other details about his upcoming wedding to Turner, which he says will be a blend of both of their backgrounds. Unlike Nick Jonas and Chopra’s wedding, which managed to bring the couple’s different cultures together in more than one ceremony and party, Jonas and Turner will be doing that in events leading up to their big day.
“You know, her family’s all from England—I figured I’m marrying well,” Joe said. “I thought for the first time I’d be marrying into a family where I’d become a soccer fan, like, a football fan, like, find my allegiance for a team. So her whole family doesn’t like football; they like rugby. So now I have to figure that out. We’re going to have a flag rugby game at the wedding and a flag football game. So if all the groomsmen show up with black eyes and broken arms, I’ll be very proud.”
