The man who killed two teenagers in West Pennant Hills, believed to be his children, has been found dead, according to police.
Smh.com.au reports that a man in his 50s was found dead in a home in nearby Normanhurst this morning.
A manhunt had been underway after two teenage children, a 13-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy, were found fatally shot in their bedrooms, the ABC reports.
The children’s mother arrived at the scene after police and emergency services and was treated for severe shock.
“We consider this to be very much a targeted incident and we do believe that it may well be domestic violence-related,” said Brett McFadden, acting assistant commander of the NSW Police north-west region metropolitan command, adding that the scene was “harrowing”.
Police are expected to address the media with more details this morning.
